Uptown Manhattan
|
While in New York City, I spent half a day up in Fort Tryon Park and saw the Cloisters, a museum housing the Metropolitan Museum of Art's medieval collection. It's quite a good museum, with lots of religious artifacts, some stained glass, parts of ruined European churches, and of course, some cloisters which have flowers growing as much during the year as possible. It's well worth a visit, if nothing else, just to get away from the hustle of central Manhattan for a little while.
