Albuquerque

This is a city older than others further east due to Spanish influence from Mexico in the 17th and 18th centuries. Pretty surroundings, with mountains in the area, and since it's in a desert, it's pretty warm, dry, and there are even some dust blowing around. When we stopped by here on our way to Philmont, we visited the historic area in the city, and went to a museum. Of course, most of our time in the city was spent at Kirtland AFB, where the food is cheap (a complete breakfast is $2.00!), and one can watch the thunderstorm cells pass over the area late in the day. Those are particularly beautiful!
