If you go any further north, you'll enter Scotland, but you won't have to just yet, since there's a bit to do here. Hadrian's Wall is still up after millenia of keeping the Scottish in Scot...oh well, at least you can walk on it now and admire the scenery a little. Also, since the farms are open, you can wander through them on your countryside walks.
