The Alfama
Thie neighbourhood of Lisboa was the only one to almost completely survive the 1755 earthquake that laid most of the rest of the city to ruin. As a result, the streets still are laid out as they have been for hundreds of years, all the way back to medieval times and the Moorish rule. Very beautiful, with excellent views of the whole city and the Rio Tejo.
