The Roman ruins of Volubilis, once the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD.<br>You can see a few stork nests atop the pillars - they winter here and go from Alsace to Denmark in the summer.<br>I have more pictures with storks and their nests in Alsace, France and in North Africa in Marrakech. Volubilis is also known for its well-preserved Roman mosaics.
