I had a wonderful time in Japan with my friend Eleanor. The weather was exceptionally hot and humid, and without air conditioning in most buildings, it was difficult to find refuge from the heat.

Despite this, I had a fantastic time here, eating plenty of sushi, sashimi, and other specialties. The culture feels like a mix of Europe, Asia, and the US, but maybe it's none of these - I'm just trying to put it in context with everywhere else I've been before. We visited many sights and I know that I will definitely return someday.

I'm living in Japan now, so if you want to see more current photos of my life here, visit my adventures at Colin in Japan.

A typical Japanese breakfast. This sign tells train traveler's not to fight one another, or accost women. Pretty serious stuff when the sign looks like it's targeted to kids! A Fascist Party van projecting nationalistic songs.
A drum game I played with Eleanor. Both players hit the notes when they have to, and the scoring is based on how well your timing is. Ewan McGregor, like many other western actors, does ads in Japan. Here, he's promoting English education.
