Mont Blanc

After a snowstorm prevented my first attempt to go up Mont Blanc (see gallery below), I decided to head on the Annecy. Annecy is an Alpine city located on Europe's largest lake. They kept winning France's national flower competition so many times that they eventually had to drop out of the running.

The last snowfall of my time in Europe was here in Chamonix, in early May. Snowfall in Chamonix. The Lac d'Annecy, the clearest lake in Europe.
Here are some of the infamous flowers of Annecy. The Château d'Annecy over the city of Annecy. Sitting in a canal, the Palais de l'Isle was once a palace and a prison, but is now a museum.
