Leighton Barracks

My dad was stationed as an optometrist here in 1986 and we stayed until 1992. This was a large part of my life then, since all my friends were American, there was a strong feeling of community there. I went back in 1999 and felt like a kid again!

A German hospital across the street from the American hospital. The intersection of Rottendorfer Strasse and Am Galgenberg, near Leighton. A cool garage door I remember passing every day on the school bus out to Versbach.
A small gasthaus my family stayed at in 1986 before moving into the town house in Versbach,
