Garmisch

Garmisch is a popular resort town in southern Germany nestled in a valley beneath majestic mountains. Travelers from all over come here, especially Germans and Americans. The Armed Forces Recreation Center is located here, with a hotel or two, and sponsors ski trips, hikes, or just provides servicemen and their families a place to stay and relax for a couple days. My dad went to conventions here every year or so, and we went as a family even more. Recently in fall 1999, after my week in Würzburg, I decided I would head back to this town nestled in the Bavarian Alps.
