I had 3-day weekends, practically 4 if not for one class on Fridays. Paris is the transportation hub for all of France, and I took full advantage of that for as long as I wanted each weekend. I managed to make it all over the country, from the Alps to the Atlantic, from Roman ruins to backdrops for movies! The regions of France vary more so than between states here in the US, so I was not getting the same feel throughout the country. France is amazing, and I wanted to experience as much as I could, since I was, after all, studying there.
